Belly Digestive Oil

Support digestion while calming tension in your belly.

Going out for a good time often involves eating. Sometimes a lot of eating, which means your “good time” might also involve undoing your belt a notch or two (or even some indigestion). The essential oils in this DIY digestive blend are popular for calming those feelings of bloat, belly tension, spasms, and even nausea.

Ingredients

Supplies

Directions

STEP 1

Add 2 fl oz of jojoba oil to an empty 2 oz bottle with pop-top.

STEP 2

Add the essential oils into the jojoba.

STEP 3

Cap the bottle and shake gently to blend.

STEP 4

Apply topically to your stomach. If you're looking forward to a big meal, you can apply this blend before you eat to get a head start on preventing discomfort.

STEP 5

You may decide to substitute unscented lotion for the jojoba oil in this recipe - in that case, you will want 1 - 2 oz glass jar instead of the bottle with pop-top.

Safety and dilution

This blend was created at a 2% dilution. Please use caution if asthmatic due to the cardamom. We recommend a small patch test to ensure there is no skin sensitivity.

Kid safety: For kids between the ages of 5 and 10, we recommend 5 drops of sweet orange, 4 drops of Roman chamomile, and 1 drop of bergamot in 2 ounces of jojoba.

Shelf Life

The ingredient with the shortest shelf life remaining becomes the shelf life of the entire blend.
