Carrot Cake Lip Balm
A silky-smooth, gently warm, lip-smacking balm!
Smooth on this decadent lip balm to replenish dry lips! Made with softly nutty kpangnan butter, vanilla-infused jojoba, and gently spicy essential oils, this delicious balm warms and moisturizes your lips while restoring a smooth, nourished texture.

STEP 1
Stick 12 lip balm tubes, uncovered, into the bottom of the lip balm tray so they become the legs of the tray and are easy to fill with the melted lip balm.
STEP 2
Put a Pyrex measuring cup into a pot that’s about 1/4 full of simmering water. The water will heat the measuring cup from the outside.
STEP 3
Melt the beeswax pellets in the Pyrex first, then the add the kpangnan butter and melt.
STEP 4
Then add the jojoba and melt.
STEP 5
Remove the blend from heat and add the essential oils, stirring gently.
STEP 6
Pour into the lip balm tubes. If the Pyrex lip is not thin enough for pouring into the tubes, you can also use a plastic pipette to siphon up the hot lip balm and squirt it into each tube. It takes longer this way but is more precise. If the lip balm starts to harden, place the Pyrex back into the hot water and it will stay liquid. Fill the tubes to the very top so once hardened, the top is smooth.
STEP 7
As soon as the liquid has begun to harden (this happens within a few minutes), gently pull the lip tubes out from the bottom, cover and allow to harden a few hours before use.
Safety and dilution
This lip balm was created at a 1% dilution. If one has sensitive lips, use with caution.
Kid safety: When making this recipe for kids, we suggest you use all sweet orange and omit the spice oils.
Shelf Life
The ingredient with the shortest shelf life becomes the shelf life of the entire blend.
