Cooling Muscle Lotion

This cooling blend is perfect for sore and tired muscles after a grueling workout!

Slather sore and tired muscles in this cooling lotion blend that also encourages relaxation in tense areas. This citrus, minty delight is sure to please all the senses!

STEP 1

Add the essential oil drops to the unscented lotion.

STEP 2

Mix the blend with a clean spoon or glass stir rod and cap the jar.

STEP 3

Apply to sore muscles as needed.

Safety and dilution

This blend was created at a 2% dilution. Please use caution if asthmatic, or are on anticoagulant drugs. According to Essential Oil Safety by Tisserand and Young (second edition), oils containing chamazulene (Blue Tansy) could present a theoretical risk in that it could inhibit drugs metabolized by CYP1A3, CYP3A4 and CYP2D6 such as antidepressants, calcium channel blockers, and some chemotherapy drugs. We also recommend a small patch test to ensure there is no skin sensitivity.

Kid safety: Safe for kids 10 and over.

Shelf Life

The ingredient with the shortest shelf life remaining becomes the shelf life of the entire blend.
