Vetiver Green Essential Oil

Vetiver Green Essential Oil

Chrysopogon zizanioides

Vetiver Green is steam distilled from the roots of Chrysopogon zizanioides. Ours comes from organically grown plants in India, and it has that deep, cool, earthy aroma vetiver is loved for.

The chemistry is unusual and rich in sesquiterpene molecules. In our recent batch, khusimol came in around 13% and khusiol around 9%, with the sesquiterpenol family together near 25%. Nootkatone, a ketone, sat close to 7%. This is a base note through and through. Vetiver is valued in aromatherapy for its antifungal and skin regenerative qualities, and it is especially well suited to supporting emotional balance and restful sleep. If you want an oil that feels grounding, this is the one.

Every batch we bring in is independently GC-MS tested, and the full report for each batch lives right here on this page.
