Spike Lavender Essential Oil
Lavandula latifolia
Spike lavender is steam distilled from the flowering tops of Lavandula latifolia. Ours comes from Spain, grown certified organic or organically.
If true lavender is what you know, this one will surprise you. Linalool still leads, typically 20-42% in our batches, but it sits beside 1,8-cineole at 19-34%, with camphor usually 6-14%. That oxide is what gives spike lavender its fresh, penetrating scent. One whiff can clear your head. It's an energizing lavender, the kind of oil many people reach for during the day, and it's a favorite for muscles and joints after you push a workout a little harder than usual. Because 1,8-cineole is more assertive than the chemistry of true lavender, it isn't the one to choose for sensitive skin.
Every batch is independently GC-MS tested, and the full report for each one lives right here on this page.
