Elemi Essential Oil
Canarium luzonicum
Elemi (Canarium luzonicum) is steam distilled from the resin of a tree in the Burseraceae family. Ours comes from the Philippines, both organically grown and wildcrafted, and the aroma is woodsy and balsamic with a lemony, peppery lift.
The chemistry is mostly monoterpenes. D-limonene leads, typically 36-56% in our batches, with α-phellandrene at about 11-21%. Together they support immune responsiveness and clearer, easier breathing. Then there's elemol, a sesquiterpenol running around 9-21%. That's the grounding part. Elemol has a steadying influence on the nervous system, calming overstimulation while keeping you clear-headed. Like the other resin oils, Elemi is also loved for supporting skin regeneration and tissue repair.
Every batch we bring in is independently GC-MS tested, and the full report for each one lives right here on this page.
