Grapefruit (White) essential oil is cold pressed from the rind of Citrus paradisi. Ours comes from certified organic fruit grown in the USA.
One number really stands out on the report. d-Limonene sits at about 95% in our recent batches (94.9-95.3%), which is a lot, even for a citrus oil. d-Limonene is the component grapefruit is loved for. It lifts the mood and stimulates the mind, and it's valued as an antibacterial and antioxidant component too. That's part of why grapefruit turns up so often in simple room spritzes. Smaller amounts of β-myrcene (around 1.8-1.9%) and α-pinene (about 0.5%) fill in that sweet, bright citrus aroma.
