Lime Essential Oil
Citrus aurantifolia
Lime essential oil is steam distilled from the rind of the fruit, Citrus aurantifolia. Our batches have come from organically grown fruit in Italy, South Africa, and Sri Lanka.
The chemistry is mostly monoterpenes, averaging close to 79%. d-Limonene leads the way, typically 41-53% in our batches, with γ-terpinene usually 11-15%. d-Limonene is the component that gives citrus oils their bright, fruity aroma, and it is loved as an antioxidant and an immunostimulant, meaning it can support your immune system. Lime is also valued in aromatherapy for its antimicrobial, antifungal, and astringent qualities, and for helping you feel clear and focused.
Every batch we bring in is independently GC-MS tested, and the full report for each one lives right here on this page. You can see for yourself how the numbers shift from harvest to harvest.
