Mandarin (Red) Essential Oil

Mandarin (Red) Essential Oil

Citrus reticulata

Mandarin (Red) is cold pressed from the rind of the mandarin fruit, Citrus reticulata. Our batches come from Brazil and Italy, certified organic or organically grown. The aroma is sweet, fresh, and fruity, a true top note.

The chemistry is mostly monoterpenes, right around 94% on average. d-Limonene leads by a wide margin, typically 69-78% in our batches, and it's the component citrus oils are loved for, with antimicrobial properties among its long list. \u03b3-Terpinene shows up next, reaching as high as 19%, though it varies quite a bit from batch to batch. There's a little linalool too. Mandarin (Red) is valued in aromatherapy as antispasmodic, carminative, and digestive, and it's a gentle choice in calming, relaxing blends.

Every batch we bring in is independently GC-MS tested, and each report lives right here on this page.
