Yuzu Essential Oil

Yuzu (Citrus junos) is pressed and distilled from the rind of the fruit, and ours comes from organically grown trees in Japan. Depending on the batch, it's either cold pressed or steam distilled. The aroma is sweet and fresh, citrus with a soft floral edge.

The chemistry is beautifully simple. d-Limonene leads the way, typically 70-76% in our batches, with γ-terpinene usually around 9-12%. Both are monoterpenes, and monoterpenes make up about 95% of this oil. d-Limonene is the component citrus lovers know best, valued for its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory character. There's a little linalool too, generally 1-2%. Yuzu is especially well suited to supporting emotional balance.
