Engelmann Spruce Essential Oil
Picea engelmanii
Engelmann Spruce (Picea engelmanii) is steam distilled from the needles of wildcrafted trees here in the USA. The aroma is sweet, warm, woodsy and piney, with a bright citrus edge that makes it easy to blend as a middle-to-top note.
It is a monoterpene-rich oil, around 81% monoterpenes on average across our batches. Limonene leads, typically 19-37%, followed by α-pinene at 14-34% and camphene around 9-13%. There is a little bornyl acetate too, usually 5-8%. α-Pinene is the component people love this family of oils for, both for its antimicrobial activity and for the soothing, comforting quality that feels welcome after exertion. Camphene is appreciated for supporting your body's natural defenses.
Every batch we bring in is independently GC-MS tested, and each batch's full report lives right here on this page.
