White Spruce Essential Oil

White Spruce Essential Oil

Picea glauca

White Spruce essential oil is steam distilled from the needles of Picea glauca. Ours comes from certified organic material grown in Canada. The aroma is woodsy and fresh, piney with a camphoraceous edge.

Monoterpenes lead the chemistry here, averaging around 73% of the oil. β-Pinene is typically 13-27% in our batches, with α-pinene at 13-19%. Both are valued for their antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory character. Limonene (typically 9-14%) is an antioxidant that supports the skin. And there's bornyl acetate, typically 8-13%, an ester loved for its quieting, comforting quality after exertion. Camphor varies quite a bit from batch to batch, which is part of why we test.

Every batch is independently GC-MS tested, and each batch's full report lives on this page for you to read.
