Angelica archangelica
Angelica Root essential oil is steam distilled from the roots and rhizomes of Angelica archangelica, a member of the Apiaceae family. Ours comes from certified organic plants grown in France. The aroma is woodsy, earthy, and herbaceous, a middle note that feels grounding the moment you open the bottle.
The chemistry is not dominated by any single molecule, but it is rich in monoterpenes (around 91% of the oil overall). α-Pinene leads, typically 20-28% in our batches, and it is loved for its antimicrobial character. δ-3-Carene follows at roughly 15-17%, with β-phellandrene near 11%. Together these are the reasons Angelica Root is such a good friend for calming the mind and supporting emotional balance.
