Myrtle (Green) Essential Oil

Myrtle (Green) Essential Oil

Myrtus communis

Green Myrtle (Myrtus communis) is steam distilled from the leaves. Ours comes from Corsica, certified organic, and it smells fresh and herbaceous with a soft camphor edge.

The chemistry is led by the monoterpene α-pinene, typically 44-60% in our batches, with 1,8-cineole close behind at about 17-27% and a little limonene at 4-6%. That pairing is why people reach for Green Myrtle when they want clear, easy breathing. 1,8-cineole is loved for its mucolytic, antimicrobial, and antispasmodic character, and α-pinene brings antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory support of its own. As a whole, this oil is valued as an expectorant and a comforting choice to diffuse in cold season.

Every batch we bring in is independently GC-MS tested, and the full report for each one lives right here on this page.
