Bergamot Mint Essential Oil
Mentha citrata
Bergamot Mint (Mentha citrata) is steam distilled from the leaves, and ours comes from organically grown plants in India. It smells like mint and citrus at the same time, which is a lovely surprise the first time you meet it.
The chemistry looks a lot like lavender's. Linalool runs high, typically 40-45% in our batches, with linalyl acetate right behind it at about 33-39%. Linalool is a calming, well-researched molecule, and together with linalyl acetate it's the pair people reach for when they want more peace in the day. There's a little β-caryophyllene too, around 3%. This is an oil valued for helping you feel calm and supporting emotional balance.
Every batch we bring in is independently GC-MS tested, and the full report for each one lives right here on this page.
