Rosewood Essential Oil

Rosewood Essential Oil

Aniba rosaeodora

Rosewood is steam distilled from the wood of Aniba rosaeodora, and ours comes from Brazil, certified organic or organically grown. The aroma is sweet and woodsy with a soft floral, rosy edge that sits in the middle note range.

This is a monoterpenol oil through and through. Linalool runs high, typically 78-88% in our batches, with smaller amounts of α-terpineol (around 0.5-4.6%) and geraniol filling in behind it. Linalool is the molecule people reach for when they want something calming, and Rosewood is valued in aromatherapy for its antimicrobial, antifungal, and antioxidant properties. It is especially well suited to supporting emotional balance and restful sleep.

Every batch we bring in is independently GC-MS tested, and each batch's full report lives right here on this page, so you can see the chemistry for yourself.
