Ho Wood Essential Oil

Ho Wood is steam distilled from the wood of Cinnamomum camphora ct linalool, a tree in the Lauraceae family. Ours is certified organic and comes from China. The aroma is sweet, woodsy, and softly floral, sitting in the middle of a blend.

What makes this oil so easy to reach for is how simple its chemistry is. Linalool makes up almost all of it, running 98.3-98.8% in our recent batches, with small traces of linalool oxides and monoterpenes like β-myrcene filling in the rest. Linalool is the molecule loved for its calming character, and monoterpenols in general are gentle and soothing. Ho Wood is also valued for antimicrobial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties, and for supporting emotional balance.
