Blue Cypress Essential Oil

Blue Cypress (Callitris intratropica) is steam distilled from the wood, and ours comes from organically grown trees in Australia. The aroma is resinous and woodsy, with a balsamic, slightly fruity depth that settles into the base-middle of a blend.

What stands out in the data is how much of this oil is sesquiterpenols, close to 57% on average across our batches. Guaiol typically runs 12-15%, bulnesol 10-18%, and alpha-eudesmol 6-15%. Blue Cypress is valued in aromatherapy for its antibacterial and antiviral properties, and it is especially well suited to supporting emotional balance.
