Utah Juniper Essential Oil
Juniperus osteosperma
Utah Juniper is steam distilled from the needles of Juniperus osteosperma, and ours is wildcrafted in the United States. The aroma is sweet and woodsy, warm and radiant, with a fresh, earthy, piney edge. It sits as a middle-to-top note that bridges fresh and floral elements in a blend.
This is a monoterpene-rich oil, close to 55% monoterpenes on average. α-Pinene leads, typically 14-25% in our batches, and it's the component this family is loved for: notably antimicrobial, with an anti-inflammatory effect. Bornyl acetate follows at typically 9-19%, an ester valued for its calming, comforting character after exertion. Camphor runs typically 7-16%. Utah Juniper is also appreciated in aromatherapy for antispasmodic and antifungal properties.
Every batch is independently GC-MS tested, and each batch's full report lives right here on this page.
