Fragonia Essential Oil
Taxandria fragrans
Fragonia (Agonis fragrans) is steam distilled from the leaves of a small Australian shrub in the Myrtaceae family. Ours comes from Australia and is organically grown. The aroma is sweet and a little spicy, with balsamic and citrus notes, and it sits as a middle note that holds the heart of a blend together.
The chemistry is unusually balanced for a Myrtaceae oil. 1,8-cineole runs typically 25-32% in our batches, and it is the component people reach for when they want to support respiratory comfort and clear breathing. α-Pinene is right alongside it at typically 20-27%, known for its antimicrobial character. Then come the monoterpenols, around 27% together, with linalool typically 7-12%, which softens the whole picture.
Every batch is independently GC-MS tested, and each batch report lives right here on this page.
