Hyssop ct 1-8-cineole Essential Oil

Hyssop ct 1-8-cineole Essential Oil

Hyssopus officinalis var. decumbens

Hyssop ct 1,8-cineole is steam distilled from the flowering tops of Hyssopus officinalis var decumbens. Ours comes from Spain, from both certified organic and wildcrafted plants. The aroma is sweet, fresh, and herbaceous with a soft floral edge.

This chemotype is defined by its oxide content. 1,8-cineole runs high, typically 45-56% in our batches, and it is the component people reach for when they want clearing, breathe-easy support. 1,8-cineole is also known for antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and antispasmodic properties. Behind it sits a solid monoterpene fraction, with β-pinene typically 11-15%, another component valued for antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory support. That combination gives this oil its bright, opening character.

Every batch we bring in is independently GC-MS tested, and the full report for each one lives right here on this page, so you can see exactly what is in the bottle you have.
