Ghandi Root Essential Oil

Ghandi Root Essential Oil

Homalomena aromatica

Ghandi Root is steam distilled from the roots and rhizomes of Homalomena aromatica, grown in India. Our batches have come from both organically grown and wildcrafted material. The aroma is deep, earthy and woodsy, a true base note that may remind you of wood smoke.

Ghandi Root shares something with lavender: both are rich in linalool, typically 38-53% in our batches. Linalool is loved for its calming character and its way of relaxing the nervous system. There's terpinen-4-ol too, typically 7-10%, a monoterpenol known for reducing the presence of germs. Monoterpenols as a family average around 56% here. Root oils like this one are lovely when you want to feel grounded and present in your body.

Every batch is independently GC-MS tested, and the full report for each one lives right here on this page.
