Hops Oil Cascade
Humulus lupulus
Hops is the flower of the hop vine, Humulus lupulus, and this one is the Cascade variety, conventionally grown in the USA and steam distilled.
It is a monoterpene-rich oil. β-Myrcene leads by a wide margin, running about 62-67% in our recent batches, with a sesquiterpene group behind it: α-caryophyllene around 13-14% and β-caryophyllene near 5-6%. Together the sesquiterpenes make up roughly a quarter of the oil. Hops is valued in aromatherapy for its calming, sedative character, and it is a thoughtful choice when you want something soothing for aches and everyday discomfort after exertion.
Every batch we bring in is independently GC-MS tested, and the full report for each one lives right here on this page. You can see exactly what is in the bottle before you ever open it.
