Hops Essential Oil Pekko
Humulus lupulus var Pekko
Hops Pekko is steam distilled from the flowers of Humulus lupulus, grown conventionally in the USA. The aroma is unusual and fun: citrus and melon, a little cucumber, with a sage-like edge underneath.
The chemistry is split almost evenly between two families. β-Myrcene, a monoterpene, came in at about 43% in our recent batch, with α-caryophyllene near 17% and β-caryophyllene near 14% on the sesquiterpene side. That combination is part of why Hops is loved for its calming character and its gentle support when a body feels achy after exertion. It's a quieting oil, one you reach for when you want to slow down.
Every batch we bring in is independently GC-MS tested, and the full report for each one lives right here on this page, so you can see the numbers yourself.
