Laurel Leaf Essential Oil
Laurus nobilis
Laurel leaf essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves of Laurus nobilis, a tree in the Lauraceae family. Ours has come from certified organic and organically grown material in Albania, Georgia, and Turkey. The aroma is sweet, fresh, herbaceous, and a little spicy, with a camphor edge.
The chemistry is led by the oxide 1,8-cineole, typically 41-54% in our batches. That's the component loved for clearing the head and encouraging comfortable breathing. Alongside it you'll find the ester alpha-terpinyl acetate (around 8-12% when present) and the monoterpene sabinene (about 4-8%). Laurel is valued in aromatherapy for its antispasmodic and analgesic character, which makes it a friendly choice for soothing everyday aches and discomfort.
Every batch we bring in is independently GC-MS tested, and the full report for each one lives right here on this page.
