Marjoram (Sweet) Essential Oil
Origanum majorana
Sweet Marjoram is steam distilled from the flowering tops of Origanum majorana, a member of the mint family. The batches we bring in come from certified organic farms in Egypt and France.
What stands out in the reports is how evenly this oil sits between two families. Monoterpenols average around 46% and monoterpenes around 45%. Terpinen-4-ol leads the way, typically 19-36% in our batches, and it's the same molecule that gives Tea Tree its gentle antimicrobial reputation. In Marjoram it plays a softer, more soothing role. Alongside it you'll see γ-terpinene (usually 11-17%) and α-terpinene (about 8-10%). Together these constituents make an oil that's calming, restorative, and cleansing, and a nice choice for skin care and natural cleaning blends.
Every batch is independently GC-MS tested, and the full report for each one lives right here on this page.
