Thyme (Benchmark) Essential Oil

Benchmark Thyme is a steam distilled thyme oil (Thymus zygis loefl L.) from organically grown plants in the United Kingdom. It was developed by blending several potent thyme types into one oil, and the GC-MS reports show that character clearly.

Two components lead. Thymol, a phenol, has averaged about 23% across our batches, with a wide spread of roughly 4-30%. Thymol is the component this oil is loved for, with well-studied antimicrobial and antifungal properties. Linalool sits right alongside it, typically 14-46% in our batches, and linalool is the calming, soothing molecule you may know from lavender. Terpinen-4-ol appears in most batches at around 7-11%, adding its own antimicrobial character and immune support.
