Norway Pine Essential Oil

Norway Pine Essential Oil

Pinus resinosa

Norway Pine (Pinus resinosa) is steam distilled from the needles. Ours comes from certified organic trees in Canada. The aroma is woodsy, fresh, and a little balsamic, a bright top note that lifts and energizes a blend.

Monoterpenes carry this oil, averaging about 93% of the whole. α-Pinene leads the way, typically 40-50% in our batches, with β-pinene close behind at 32-37%. Both are loved for their antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory character, and α-pinene turns up in more than 400 essential oils, so it is a component worth knowing well. There is a little β-myrcene too (roughly 3.5-8.6%), which is calming and comforting after exertion.

Every batch we bring in is independently GC-MS tested, and the full report for each one lives right here on this page, so you can see exactly what is in the bottle you are using.
