Pinyon Pine Essential Oil
Pinus edulis
Pinyon Pine is an evergreen of the American Southwest, and ours is steam distilled from wildcrafted needles harvested in the USA. The aroma is sweet, woodsy, piney, and a little camphoraceous, a middle-to-top note that bridges fresh and floral elements in a blend.
This is a monoterpene-rich oil, right around 81% monoterpenes on average across our batches. α-Pinene leads, typically 36-56% in our batches, and it's the component people reach for because of its antimicrobial character. β-Phellandrene follows at roughly 8-17%, a potent antifungal, with β-pinene near 7-10%. A small amount of bornyl acetate rounds out that comforting evergreen scent.
Every batch we bring in is independently GC-MS tested, and each batch's full report lives right here on this page, so you can see exactly what's in the bottle you have.
