Scotch Pine Essential Oil

Scotch Pine Essential Oil

Pinus sylvestris

Scotch Pine (Pinus sylvestris) is steam distilled from the needles, and our batches have come from organically grown and certified organic trees in Austria, Bulgaria, and Canada. The aroma is woodsy and fresh, warm and a little earthy.

This is a monoterpene oil through and through, around 85% monoterpenes on average. α-Pinene leads the way, typically 26-50% in our batches, with β-pinene at 6-27% and limonene usually 5-13%. α-Pinene is the component people reach for when they want something antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory, and it is loved for easing everyday discomfort, like muscles that worked hard yesterday. Limonene brings antioxidant support and is friendly to the skin. β-Myrcene, present in every batch we have tested, adds its own calming, soothing character.

Every batch is independently GC-MS tested, and you can read each full report right here on this page.
