Ylang Ylang (Complete) Essential Oil

Ylang Ylang (Complete) comes from the flowers of Cananga odorata var. genuina. Ours is steam distilled in Madagascar, from organically grown and wildcrafted flowers.

It's a sesquiterpene-rich oil, with that family averaging about 50% across our batches. Germacrene D typically runs 2-17% and β-caryophyllene 3-14%, with esters like geranyl acetate (about 2-11%) and a little linalool (2-14%) filling in the sweet, balsamic, floral character. This is the chemistry Ylang Ylang is loved for: deeply relaxing for the nervous system, calming to a busy mind, and emotionally uplifting at the same time. A single drop goes a long way.
