Nepeta cataria
Catnip (Nepeta cataria) is a member of the mint family, and this hydrosol is the aromatic water that comes off the still during steam distillation. Every batch we have logged has come from certified organic plants grown in the USA.
Hydrosols are much milder than essential oils, so you can use them generously, even on sensitive skin and on children's skin. Catnip Hydrosol is gentle enough to soothe irritated skin without stinging or drying it, and it is a favorite of ours for natural insect repellency. It is also known for supporting emotional balance. Kept cool and closed, it stays fresh for about a year and a half.
