Comfrey (Symphytum officinalis) is a vigorous plant that grows quickly and gives several harvests during the season. Our Comfrey Hydrosol is steam distilled, and every batch we have brought in since 2019 has come from certified organic material grown in the USA.
Hydrosols are gentle by nature, and this one is no exception. Comfrey has a long history of skin care, and its hydrosol is soothing, astringent, and comforting enough to mist directly onto the skin on its own. It is not for internal use, and it is not recommended during pregnancy. Like most hydrosols, it keeps best cool and closed, with a shelf life of about a year and a half.
Every batch we receive is logged on this page with its country of origin and best-by date, and certificates of analysis are available to download where we have them.
