English Thyme Hydrosol

English Thyme Hydrosol (Thymus vulgaris) is the aromatic water that comes off the still during steam distillation. Every batch we have brought in has been distilled in the USA from certified organic thyme, going back to our earliest batch in 2017.

Hydrosols are much milder than essential oils, and they can be used generously, even on sensitive skin and with children. Our own materials describe this one as a gentle hydrosol with analgesic, antispasmodic, antifungal, antioxidant, and antimicrobial qualities, a soft way to support everyday wellness. It also has a reputation for supporting natural insect repellency. Plan on using it within about a year and a half, and keep it cool.

Every batch we receive is logged on this page with its country of origin and best-by date, and certificates of analysis are available to download where we have them.
