Frankincense Frereana Essential Oil
Boswellia frereana
Frankincense Frereana comes from the resin of Boswellia frereana, and ours is steam distilled from certified organic resin harvested in Somaliland. The aroma is resinous and earthy with a fresh, lemony lift.
The chemistry is mostly monoterpenes, close to 80% of the oil on average. Alpha-thujene leads the way (typically 15-57% across our batches, averaging around 31%), with alpha-pinene close behind and p-cymene usually in the 5-13% range. Alpha-pinene is the component many of us reach for; it's antimicrobial, and it shows up in oils we love for feeling clear and grounded. Frankincense itself is a favorite for calming, for quieting a busy mind, and it blends beautifully into comforting massage oils that help muscles let go after exertion.
