Frankincense Serrata Essential Oil

Frankincense Serrata Essential Oil

Frankincense Serrata comes from the resin of Boswellia serrata, and ours is steam distilled from organically grown resin in India. The aroma is earthy and resinous, with green, peppery, warm notes.

This oil is almost entirely monoterpenes, close to 97% in our recent batches. The one that stands out is α-thujene, running roughly 44-64%, which is characteristic of the serrata species. Next comes α-pinene, about 7-28% in our recent batches, a component loved for its antimicrobial strength and its calming quality. A little sabinene (around 5%) adds a spicy, woody depth. Frankincense is one of my favorites for daily skin care and for quiet, settled moments.

Every batch we bring in is independently GC-MS tested, and the full report for each one lives right here on this page, so you can see the chemistry for yourself.
