German Chamomile Hydrosol

German Chamomile Hydrosol (Matricaria recutita) is steam distilled from the small white and yellow flowers. Every batch we have logged has come from certified organic plants grown in the USA, going back to our first distillation in 2017.

It is a clear to pale yellow, transparent, water-like liquid with a sweet, fresh, herbaceous, light aroma. Because it is soluble in water, it blends easily into sprays, compresses, and water-based skincare. German chamomile hydrosol is gentle, and it is one of the most soothing choices for skin. It has a cooling quality, and it is calming for the heart and mind, which is part of why it is a favorite for winding down and supporting restful sleep. Plan on using it within about a year and a half.
