Ginger Hydrosol

Ginger Hydrosol is steam distilled from the rhizomes and roots of Zingiber officinale. It's the aromatic water that comes off the still alongside the essential oil, and it carries the plant in a much gentler form. Every batch we've logged so far has come from certified organic ginger grown in the USA.

The aroma is sweet, spicy, lemony, and warm, and the liquid itself is clear. Being water soluble, it blends easily into drinking water, teas, and other water-based preparations. Ginger has long been turned to for digestive comfort, and a hydrosol is a mild way to support the body after meals. Hydrosols are generally gentle. Stored well, this one keeps for about two years.

Every batch we bring in is logged on this page with its country of origin and best-by date, and certificates of analysis are available to download where we have them.
