Helichrysum Hydrosol

Helichrysum Hydrosol is steam distilled from the flowers of Helichrysum italicum, a small silvery plant in the daisy family. The hydrosol is the water that comes through the still alongside the essential oil, so it carries the plant in a much gentler form. Our batches have come from the USA and from Greece, some certified organic and some wildcrafted.

It is a clear to pale yellow, transparent, water-like liquid with a light herbaceous aroma. Being water soluble, it blends easily into facial mists, compresses, and other water-based preparations. This is a gentle hydrosol with soothing, antioxidant character, and it is well suited to supporting comfort where there are everyday aches and discomfort. Plan on using it within about a year and a half.

Every batch we bring in is logged on this page with its origin and best-by date, and certificates of analysis are available to download where we have them.
