Lavender Artisan Hydrosol
Lavandula angustifolia
Lavender Artisan Hydrosol is steam distilled from the flowers and some of the stems of Lavandula angustifolia. Every batch we have logged so far, ten of them going back to 2017, has come from farms in the USA growing certified organic or organically grown lavender. The hydrosol is the aromatic water that comes over during distillation, so it carries the plant in a soft, water-based form.
It looks like clear water and smells like Lavender. It mixes into water and alcohol, which makes it easy to work into mists, compresses, and simple skin care. Lavender hydrosol is gentle, and gentleness is part of why we reach for hydrosols when essential oils feel like too much. It is a mild way to support emotional balance and restful sleep. Best used within about a year and a half.
Every batch is listed on this page with its origin and best-by date, and certificates of analysis are available to download where we have them.
