Lavender Kashmir Essential Oil
Lavender Kashmir is steam distilled from the flowers of Lavandula angustifolia grown in India, organically cultivated and distilled in the high mountain air of the Kashmir region.
What stands out in our recent batch is how ester-rich this oil is. Linalyl acetate came in around 39%, with linalool close behind at about 27%. Together the esters make up roughly 48% of the oil and the monoterpenols about 35%. Those are the two components lavender is best known for, and they're the reason it's such a calming oil to work with. Esters like linalyl acetate are lovely and soothing on skin, and linalool has been researched for its calming character. There's a little β-caryophyllene here too, around 4%.
Every batch we bring in is independently GC-MS tested, and the full report for each one lives right here on this page.
