Lemongrass ct Rhodinol Essential Oil
Cymbopogon citratus ct. rhodinol
Lemongrass ct rhodinol is a chemotype of Cymbopogon citratus, steam distilled from the grass. Ours is organically grown in India. It smells less herbaceous than the lemongrass you may know, with a citrusy aroma and a soft rosy note.
What makes this chemotype special is how much of it is monoterpenol, close to 69% on average in our batches. Geraniol typically runs 35-44%, and citronellol 24-29%. Those two are why this oil is generally non-irritating and skin-nourishing, and they are loved for their anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antifungal character. Citronellol is also calming to the nervous system. Citral (geranial and neral) is present, but at much lower levels than in classic lemongrass.
Every batch we bring in is independently GC-MS tested, and the full report for each one lives right here on this page.
