Palmarosa Essential Oil

Palmarosa is a grass, though its aroma is sweet and rosy. Ours is steam distilled from Cymbopogon martinii var. motia grown in India, Nepal, and the Comoros Islands, both organically grown and wildcrafted.

This oil is really a monoterpenol oil. Geraniol runs high, typically 71-83% in our batches, and monoterpenols as a family are loved for being skin-supportive, gentle, and regulating for the nervous system. That is why palmarosa is a favorite in skincare blends and in work around emotional steadiness. Geranyl acetate, typically 7-14%, adds the calming, softening quality esters are known for, and a little linalool (about 1-5%) rounds it out.
