Peppermint Hydrosol

Peppermint Hydrosol (Mentha x piperita) is the aromatic water that comes off the still during steam distillation. Every batch we have logged has come from certified organic peppermint grown in the USA, going back to our first distillation in 2017.

Hydrosols are gentler than essential oils, and most can be sprayed directly on the skin without concern. Peppermint is a favorite for staying cool, for supporting mental clarity and focus, and for supporting healthy digestion. It also lends a hand as a natural insect repellent. It is potable, so a small amount stirred into sparkling water makes a refreshing drink. Suzanne Catty recommends avoiding it with children under three. Stored well, it keeps for about a year and a half.
