Rose and Geranium Essential Oil
Rosa x damascena/pelargonium x asperum
Rose blossoms and geranium leaves are co-distilled together, and the result is one oil with a rosy, fresh, sweet character. Ours comes from organically grown plants in South Africa, steam distilled.
The chemistry of Rosa x damascena and Pelargonium x asperum leans heavily on monoterpenols, close to 47% of the oil on average. Citronellol leads, typically 24-30% in our batches, with geraniol usually 9-19% and a soft ester layer from citronellyl formate at roughly 9-13%. That combination is part of why this oil is loved for cooling hot situations, for calming, and for inspiring a joyful outlook. It is a nice companion during a transition, helping you cycle out old energy while staying balanced.
Every batch we bring in is independently GC-MS tested, and each batch's full report lives right here on this page.
