Rose Otto Damascena Hydrosol

Rose Otto Damascena Hydrosol is steam distilled from the flowers of Rosa damascena. The hydrosol is the aromatic water that comes through the still alongside the essential oil, so it carries the plant in a soft, diluted form. Most of our batches have come from the USA, with others from France and India, all certified organic or organically grown.

It is a transparent, water-like liquid with a floral, rosy aroma. Because it is soluble in water, it blends easily into sprays, compresses, and simple skin care. This is a gentle hydrosol with tonic, astringent, antimicrobial, and skin regenerative qualities, and it is a lovely choice when you want support for emotional balance. Stored well, it keeps for about a year and a half.

Every batch we bring in is logged on this page with its origin and best-by date, and certificates of analysis are available to download where we have them.
