Rosehip Seed Oil

Rosehip Seed Oil (Rosa rubiginosa) is cold pressed from the small seeds tucked inside the rose hip, the fruit the plant forms after flowering. Our batches have come from certified organic growers in Bulgaria, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.

It pours as a transparent liquid, yellow to orange, with a light aroma that reminds me of olive oil. That soft scent makes it easy to build into blends without competing with your essential oils. It is soluble in oil and alcohol, and not in water. Rosehip seed is a nourishing carrier with antioxidant and skin regenerative character, which is why so many people reach for it in facial blends. Shelf life is about two years when it is stored cool and out of the light.

Every batch we bring in is logged on this page with its country of origin and best-by date, and certificates of analysis are available to download where we have them.
