Rosemary Hydrosol

Rosemary Hydrosol

Rosmarinus officinalis

Rosemary hydrosol (Rosmarinus officinalis) is steam distilled from the leaves, and it comes to us as the water that carries the plant's aromatic gifts through the still. Every batch we have logged so far has come from certified organic growers in the USA.

It's a clear liquid with a resinous, woodsy, fresh, herbaceous aroma that is genuinely strong for a hydrosol. Our own notes describe it as a gentle hydrosol with analgesic, antispasmodic, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory qualities, so it's a mild way to soothe aches and everyday discomfort. Plan on using it within about a year and a half. Rosemary hydrosol may be best avoided during the first trimester of pregnancy.

Every batch we receive is logged right here with its country of origin and best-by date, and certificates of analysis are available to download where we have them.

Safety
There isn't any evidence that there is enough camphor in the hydrosol to be of concern. However, Rosemary hydrosol might want to be avoided in the first trimester of pregnancy.
