Sandalwood Nut Oil
Santalum spicatum
Sandalwood Nut Oil is a rare, luxurious carrier gently CO₂-extracted from the kernels of Western Australian sandalwood, the same tree prized for its aromatic heartwood. The result is a light golden oil with a soft, sweet, nutty aroma and a rich feel that absorbs beautifully into the skin. Its unusual fatty acid profile is what makes it especially valuable in skincare. It contains around 50% oleic acid, a deeply moisturizing omega-9 fatty acid, along with approximately 36% ximenynic acid (santalbic acid), a rare fatty acid found in very few plant oils. Together, they help support the skin's natural moisture barrier and leave skin feeling replenished, supple, and calm.
Rich and slightly viscous yet fast-absorbing, Sandalwood Nut Oil is especially well suited to facial blends for dry and mature skin, after-sun care, and barrier-supportive formulations. Use it on its own or blend it with your favorite essential oils.
