Vanilla Infused Jojoba Oil
Vanilla pods are infused into jojoba oil to make this carrier. Every batch we have logged has come from Madagascar, from certified organic or organically grown material, going back to our first batch in 2017. The infusion process is slow and simple: the seeds and pods give their character to the jojoba over time.
It looks like jojoba, a slightly viscous, yellowish liquid, and it smells lightly of vanilla. It is soluble in oil and alcohol. Our own writing describes it as skin regenerative and nourishing, which makes it a lovely base for therapeutic blends, balms, body butters, or a massage oil used just as it is. Shelf life is about five years. A patch test for sensitivity is recommended.
Every batch is logged on this page with its origin and best-by date, and certificates of analysis are available to download where we have them.

Batch VJW-109 begins with organically grown vanilla from Madagascar, an island whose cured beans are prized for their deep, rounded sweetness. Rather than distillation, this batch is made by infusion: the beans steep in golden jojoba until the wax ester carries their warm, balsamic character. The infusion was completed on December 17, 2024, and the batch carries a four-year shelf window.
Jojoba is technically a liquid wax rather than a fixed oil, which is why it feels light on skin, absorbs cleanly, and stays remarkably stable over time. That stability is part of what makes it such a good home for a slow vanilla infusion. The result is comforting and gently sweet, well suited to blending or to simple, unhurried skin care.
As an infused carrier, this batch is documented rather than profiled by component percentages. The certificate of analysis and available batch documentation are downloadable here, so you can see exactly what is in the bottle.
